3M™ Heat Shrink Tubing MDT-A is a medium wall heat shrink tubing range with hot melt adhesive that provides reliable performance for electrical splices, connections and terminations up to 1.0 kV as well as mechanical and environmental protection. MDT-A heat shrink tubing has a halogen-free, cross-linked polyolefin outer wall and a factory-applied adhesive layer on the inside.

3M™ MDT-A heat shrink tubing is a halogen-free, medium-wall heat shrink tubing made of radiation cross-linked polyolefin with a hot melt adhesive coating. The hot-melt adhesive penetrates into all irregularities and cavities and prevents the ingress of moisture. The 3M™ MDT-A heat-shrinkable tubing is suitable for insulating plastic and earth cables up to 0.6/1kV, both for laying in the open air and in the ground. The ageing-resistant heat-shrinkable tubing is UV-resistant and resistant to many chemical influences. It can be used in a temperature range from -55 °C to +130 °C. Thanks to its high shrink rate of 4.5 to one, you can cover large diameter jumps with just one tube. The 3M™ MDT-A heat shrink tubing meets the technical requirements of IEC 60684 and is approved in accordance with Lloyds Register of Shipping, certificate 95/30032(E5). It is halogen-free and RoHS compliant.
