SICON screw-type cable lugs can be used regardless of the conductor material, conductor type, voltage level and amperage. The patented SICON shear bolt was developed without fixed predetermined breaking points. This means that the full thread load-bearing capacity is always used and perfect contact pressure against the conductor is ensured. A rotating pressure plate at the base of the shear bolt ensures that the individual wires are not damaged. The screw shears off gently when tightened, the residue remains on the tool and can be disposed of safely. The screw always breaks at the top edge of the connector body. This prevents any sharp-edged protrusion. All edges of the connector body are rounded.
SICON cable lugs are electrically and mechanically type-tested in accordance with IEC 61238-1 Class A.
